Friends are friends, forever!

Greetings, peeps on the other side of the screen! *tap tap tap* You've landed at the home of the kwaziest orange ball of fur on da face 'o da planet!
Well, where to start...Well, I was born on October 12, 1978, in the town of Gallipolis Ohio. I was adopted (along with my brother) at the age of 8, where my name became a mirror to itself once I took on my new parent's surname. So, the new clan lived in Athens, OH for a year, until Dad got a new office location, where we moved to Picktown. Of course, moving there wasn't solely based on Dad's new office. Picktown, which is a nickname by the way, was a growing community with good schools, and was close enough to the city to be convenient for shopping, but far enough away to have privacy.
Not much to say about the school years. I mean, I went to school, took part in extracurricular activities, graduated....ya know..same old story!
I attended Hocking college for a short while, but decided that I wasn't ready to be a student, so I went to the local recruiter's office (much to the surprise of my folks when they came to pick me up from college and I gave them the news), and decided that I was going to enlist in the Navy! The next week, I went to a recruiter close to home, talked with him, and before I knew it, signed my name and swore to "protect and defend"! WHOOHOO!
I have now been a member of the Greatest Naval force in the world for five years, and will be re-enlisting sometime later this year! I've been stationed on two ships, the USS Samuel B. Roberts, and the USS LaSalle. My rate, or job specialty, is Information Systems Technician, a.k.a. "IT". In my job, I deal with communication systems in the form of radio, or computers. However, I also am working with security right now, as they were short on personnel at the time, but all is well now!  OK..so that's a little glimpse into the persona of ptigger. Now, onto more stuff!

My Favorites

Favorite Band or Musician: John Denver (may he rest in peace)
Favorite TV show: JAG (which impresses me with the accuracy of their "uniforms"...which are just costumes, in my mind. You have to earn the right to wear the Uniform!
Favorite movie: My favorite movie is "The Princess Bride", but I have other favorites as well.
Favorite book: Not a book, but a series "Wheel of Time" Series by Robert Jordan
Favorite sports team: NASCAR: #8, and #3(we'll miss you Dale!) As to team sports, I don't really follow them, but I root along with my Dad for the Steelers!
Favorite food: My favorite food is Ham, and my favorite type of food is Italian!

My Hobbies

Singing in Chorale..I'm on the right! LOL

hear me sing da TiggerMovieSong

I love to Sing! The first song I ever learned the words to and sang was "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood, and I sang it for my class for Show and Tell! I've been involved with Choirs since I was in Junior High School (7th and 8th grade), and continued until my graduation from High School in 1997. I also sang at OMEA(Ohio Music Education Association) competitions, and received ratings of "1" every year! My solos were (in chronological order): "The Song of the Mountains", "Where'ere You Walk", "The Turtle Dove", "Blow, Ye Winds", "The Vagabond", and "Ride on, King Jesus".
I am in a choir once again, however, but this time it is with my church choir at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ellsworth, ME.  It is so enjoyable singing in the choir, but most of all, singing songs of praise to God!
Now, this next one is not necessarily a hobby, but is an organization I am in.  I am a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus, which (for those of you who may not know) is a fraternal organization of Catholic gentlemen.  If you would like to know more about this wonderful group, check out the link on the side.
